Android and iPhone users can now use two different mobile numbers within the same WhatsApp app. Find out the easy way to add a second account and what points you need to keep in mind.

WhatsApp now allows both Android and iPhone users to add two separate accounts within a single app. This feature makes it easy to manage messages, calls, and notifications for both numbers.
The biggest advantage of this feature is that you do not need to log out repeatedly or open a different app. Both accounts coexist within the same WhatsApp app, allowing you to switch between them in seconds. Chats, backups, privacy settings, and notifications remain separate for each account.
Keep in mind that to use two WhatsApp accounts, you must have a second mobile number. This can be a physical SIM or an eSIM. Additionally, the number must be capable of receiving an OTP for account verification. You also need to have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your phone.
How to add a second WhatsApp account on Android
If you have the latest version of WhatsApp on your Android phone, follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap the down arrow next to your profile name at the top.
- Select the ‘Add account’ option.
- Enter your second mobile number.
- Verify the number using the OTP.

The process is nearly identical for iPhone users as well.
