Under this scheme, about 6.5 lakh families i.e. about 36 lakh people will get benefit. Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that this scheme will be run in Delhi through the trust model. At the same time, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the state government will add another Rs 5 lakh in addition to the treatment cover of Rs 5 lakh provided by the Center, so that people will get free treatment up to a total of Rs 10 lakh.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the state government will also get an additional top-up of Rs 5 lakh under this scheme in addition to the insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh given by the Central Government.
