Heavy Rain Alert: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in the states of South India during the next five days. Rain and strong winds are expected in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Rain may also be seen in the Northeast and adjoining eastern India.

Heavy Rain Alert: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted hot winds in parts of northwest India and Gujarat from April 15. The department has predicted rain, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in eastern and adjoining eastern Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during the next four-five days. In its bulletin released with this week’s forecast, the IMD said that the maximum temperature in northwest India including Delhi-NCR may increase by 3-5 degrees Celsius between April 13 and April 18.

Rain forecast in these states

The IMD has predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in the Northeast and adjoining eastern India during the next five days. Heavy rain is expected in Assam and Meghalaya from 14 to 16 April. Heavy rain is expected in Odisha on 15 and 16 April. IMD said there is a possibility of sporadic hailstorm in Madhya Pradesh on 14 and 15 April. On 14 April, there is a possibility of sporadic to scattered rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in the plains of Central India and Maharashtra.

There will be rain in Jharkhand

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather will change in Jharkhand on Monday. Winds can blow at a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour. The department has said in its forecast that on April 14, hailstorm, thunder, lightning along with strong winds can be seen at some places in the eastern parts of Jharkhand. Strong winds can blow with thunder at some places in the north-eastern and central parts. There are chances of rain till 19 April. It is predicted that the sky will remain cloudy during this period. The warning has been issued till April 17.

Weather of Delhi-NCR

The IMD said that on April 14, the sky is expected to remain clear throughout the day in Delhi, the maximum temperature may remain between 38 to 40 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature may remain between 21 to 23 degree Celsius. The IMD said in its bulletin that the weather will also be clear on April 15. There will be a slight increase in temperature. The maximum temperature is likely to be between 39 to 41 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 22 to 24 degree Celsius.

Temperature will increase in North-West India

The report states that North-West India may see an increase of 3-5 degree Celsius in maximum temperature between April 13 and 18. Central India may see an increase of 2-4 degree Celsius in temperature between April 14 and 19. The IMD said that the maximum temperature is likely to increase by 2-4 degree Celsius in West India during the next five days. There will be no significant change during the next two days after that. No significant change in maximum temperatures is likely over the rest of the country, the IMD said.

Weather forecast for South India

The IMD has forecast light to moderate rains with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema and Telangana during the next five days. Rains are likely over South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe during the next three days.
