LPG Price in Delhi: The price of LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 50 from Tuesday, April 8. After this increase, the rate of LPG cylinder has increased from Rs 803 to Rs 853.

LPG Price Hike: From today, LPG customers will have to pay more than before to get a cylinder. Customers will have to pay Rs 50 more for a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder from April 8. After this increase, the price of domestic cylinder in Delhi has increased to Rs 853. Earlier, Rs 803 had to be paid for this. Regarding the increase in gas price, Union Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced that the price of cooking gas has increased by 50 per cylinder.
Both Ujjwala and normal category will have to pay more price
The minister also said that the price of gas has been increased for both Ujjwala and normal category customers. The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has been increased from Rs 803 to Rs 853 for normal users and from Rs 503 to Rs 553 for Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries. Hardeep Singh Puri said, ‘The price of LPG cylinder will increase by Rs 50. It will increase from Rs 500 to Rs 550 (for PMUY beneficiaries) and for others it will increase from Rs 803 to Rs 853.’
What is the rate in which city
According to the information given on the website of Indian Oil, from April 8, the rate in Kolkata will increase to Rs 879, in Mumbai it will be Rs 852.50 and in Chennai it will now be Rs 868.50. Similarly, in Lucknow, Rs 890.50 will have to be paid for LPG cylinder from today. The price of domestic LPG cylinder in Patna has increased to Rs 951.00. The rate of LPG cylinder in Jaipur has increased to Rs 856.50. The price of gas cylinder in Dehradun has increased to Rs 850.50.
Rates in Shimla and Bhopal
LPG cylinder will be available in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla from today for Rs 897.5. In Bhopal, the price of this cylinder has reached Rs 858.50, close to the price of Delhi. The cylinder price in Gandhinagar, Gujarat has reached Rs 878.50, Rs 969 in Srinagar, Rs 881 in Indore, Rs 929 in South Andaman. The price of 14.2 kg cylinder has become Rs 852 in Dibrugarh, Rs 985.50 in Kargil and Rs 861 in Visakhapatnam.
Why the price was increased
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, ‘The price of LPG cylinder will increase by Rs 50. In Delhi, this price has increased from Rs 803 to Rs 853. This is a step which we will review later. The Union Minister further said, ‘We review it every two to three weeks. That is why you have seen an increase in excise duty, its burden will not fall on petrol and diesel customers. The purpose of that increase in excise duty is to compensate the oil marketing companies for Rs 43,000 crore, which they have suffered as a loss on the gas share.
