Meta has launched a new creator program under which Instagram and YouTube creators will be paid up to lakhs of rupees for posting on Facebook. Find out how you can earn.

If you are active on social media or are a content creator, there is big news for you. Meta—Facebook’s parent company—is now taking a major step to attract creators to its platform. The company has launched a new program under which creators who are already popular on platforms like Instagram and YouTube will be paid to post on Facebook. According to reports, this program could offer creators the opportunity to earn up to hundreds of thousands of rupees. This is precisely why this news is going viral so rapidly. In today’s landscape, most creators are more active on platforms like YouTube and Instagram, a trend that has somewhat diminished Facebook’s dominance. To reverse this trend, Meta now aims to bring creators back by investing financially.
How Much You Can Earn
Under this program, creators will receive monthly payments. Those with a follower count ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 could earn up to a few hundred dollars per month. Meanwhile, those with over 1 million followers could earn approximately $3,000 (roughly ₹2.7 lakh) per month. Facebook is also introducing new metrics to help content creators better understand and maximize their earnings.
Simply put, earnings will no longer depend solely on the number of views; instead, they will be determined by how engaging your content is, how long people watch it, and the quality of the views received. To facilitate this, the company has introduced several new tools: “Qualified Views”—views that are eligible for monetization; “Earnings Rate”—which indicates the approximate revenue generated per 1,000 views; and “Non-Qualified Views”—which explains why certain views are not generating revenue.
Why Meta Is Doing This
This move by Meta is a direct strategy to compete with platforms like YouTube and Instagram. In reality, young users today tend to spend less time on Facebook and more time on other platforms. To shift this dynamic, the company aims to incentivize creators financially to encourage them to become active on Facebook. When major creators join Facebook, their followers are bound to follow suit and become active on the platform, thereby driving the platform’s overall growth. Rising Competition
In today’s landscape, the biggest battle among social media platforms revolves around “creators.” YouTube already pays creators handsomely, while Instagram also offers opportunities for monetization through Reels and brand deals. Now, Facebook, too, aims to accelerate its pace in this very race. Meta has already distributed millions of dollars to creators in the past to boost content volume on the platform.
