If you have an account in State Bank of India (SBI). If you use SBI’s YONO app for mobile banking, then this is important news for you. SBI’s YONO app will soon not support those smartphones or iPads that work on Android 11 or older versions.

SBI has issued this guideline for its customers to avoid cyber threat. SBI said in its guideline that as technology advances, older operating systems become weaker. In such a situation, necessary updates are not possible for the security of the customer’s financial data. Therefore, SBI decided to shut down the YONO app on Android 11 or older operating systems.

How to update Android 12 in your phone

SBI has advised the users of its banking app YONO to shift to Android 12. The notification of the update of Google’s latest Android 12 operating system will come on your smartphone. After this you will be able to update it with the help of WiFi or mobile network.

If you do not get the notification, then you have to go to the phone’s Settings => About phone => System updates. Here you will be able to update the phone by touching Update.

When was the YONO service started?

SBI started the YONO service on 27 November 2017. YONO means You Only Need One. At the same time, YONO Cash was launched on 16 March 2019.
