Suzuki Avenis Standard Variant Launched: Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the new standard variant of its popular scooter Avensis in the Indian market. This new model has been specially designed according to the OBD-2B (On-Board Diagnostics 2B) norms prescribed by the Government of India, which not only makes it more environmentally friendly but also keeps a close eye on its performance.

Its ex-showroom price in New Delhi has been kept at Rs 91,400, making it the cheapest and budget-friendly model of the Avensis lineup. Its next variant is about Rs 1,800 more expensive than this.

Engine and Performance

In this new variant, the basic mechanism of the engine has been kept the same, but it has now been updated according to OBD-2B emission norms. This means that now this scooter will not only give better mileage, but it has also become easier to track engine performance. It uses the same 124cc, single-cylinder engine that generates 8.7hp of power and 10Nm of torque. This engine is perfect for city traffic and daily commute. Due to this, this scooter not only gives a smooth ride but also requires less maintenance in the long term.

What are OBD-2B norms and why are they important?

Actually, OBD-2B (On-Board Diagnostics 2B) is a new emission norm implemented by the Government of India, which provides modern technology to monitor the pollution level of vehicles. This system continuously monitors the engine and emission control system of the scooter and gives an immediate alert if there is any fault. Its direct advantage is that not only less pollution is spread in the environment, but the performance of the scooter can also be monitored in real time. This technology is especially beneficial for those users who want better mileage and smooth ride for a long time.

Design and color options

There has been no major change in the design, yet this new standard variant gives a clean and youthful look. This scooter has LED headlight and taillight, which give excellent visibility at night. Along with this, there is also a digital instrument cluster, which shows all the information like fuel level, speed, trip meter in digital form. This scooter is available in four attractive colors (Black with White, Black with Red, Yellow with Black and Glossy Black), which have been specially designed keeping the youth in mind.

How much will it cost?

The ex-showroom price of Suzuki Avensis Standard variant is Rs 91,400, which makes it the most affordable model of the Avensis series. It is a great option for those customers who are looking for a stylish and eco-friendly scooter at a low price.
