Tata Harrier EV launch details india: Tata Motors’ Harrier EV is going to be officially launched on June 3, 2025. This electric avatar of Tata was eagerly awaited. Earlier, Harrier EV was seen in its production form at the Auto Expo in January 2025. Since then, Tata Motors was continuously releasing its teaser images and videos.

Tata Harrier EV design

Harrier EV will look quite similar to the diesel version of Harrier facelift. It has the same signature design, which has vertically stacked LED headlights below sharp DRLs. Its DRLs are connected to a full-with light bar. Its side profile is also familiar. Its large wheel arch and window line form a black-out D-pillar shape, giving the roof a floating look.

If we talk about the rear side, it has a connected light bar and vertical fog lamps on the bumper. To give it the identity of an electric car, its upper grille has been sealed and a chrome-trimmed front bumper with radar sensor has been given. There is a ‘.EV’ badge on the front doors and ‘HARRIER.EV’ lettering on the tailgate. Its wheels are designed like aero-efficient serrated turbine blades and their size will be between 17 to 19 inches.

Tata Harrier EV features technology

The interior of the Harrier EV is very similar to the petrol/diesel Harrier. The teasers shown by Tata show a two-tone dashboard, touch-controlled climate system and signature floating touchscreen. Its digital instrument cluster and four-spoke steering wheel have also been kept as is.

Apart from this, it has features like the option to change terrain modes from the rotary dial, electronic parking brake and a panoramic sunroof. Some new terrain modes, connected car technology and over-the-air updates have also been given in the Harrier EV.

Tata Harrier EV production version

Although some electric vehicles are completely redesigned, Tata has built the Harrier EV on its existing Omega platform. This platform is also used in the diesel Harrier. However, Tata has modified it specifically for electric power and has named this new structure Acti.ev (Gen 2) architecture. In this, the chassis has been changed and the floor has been completely redesigned to fit the battery safely and correctly.

Tata Harrier EV price

The Tata Harrier EV is expected to be priced between ₹24 lakh and ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch is expected in June 2025. Expected range is around 500km on a single charge.

A big advantage of EV is that it can be given all-wheel drive (AWD) feature without making major mechanical changes. While it would have been difficult to provide AWD in the diesel Harrier, in the EV version, just one motor was added to the rear axle for extra power.

Tata Harrier EV mileage

According to Autocar, Vivek Srivastava, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata’s Passenger Electric Vehicles, says that with dual motors, the performance of Harrier EV will increase tremendously. The peak torque of this SUV will be up to 500Nm and the company expects that this electric SUV will run for about 500km on a single charge.
