More than 17000 units sold in April 2025
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) released the sales figures for April 2025 and said that its popular SUV Hyundai CRETA has won the title of the country’s best-selling car for the second consecutive month. A total of 17,016 units of CRETA were sold in April 2025, registering a YoY growth of 10.2% over April last year.
With a total of 69,914 units sold between January and April 2025, CRETA has firmly maintained its leadership in the SUV segment. This stellar performance led to the contribution of the SUV segment to HMIL’s total domestic sales reaching a record 70.9% in April.
Sales of these models grew steadily
This shows that the popularity of Hyundai’s SUV lineup — which includes models like CRETA, VENUE, EXTER, ALCAZAR — is steadily increasing among Indian customers.
