Heat wave alert in Bihar

Due to scorching heat and heat wave conditions in some parts of Bihar, the mercury reached 40 degrees Celsius or above in at least nine districts of the state on Monday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature was 39 degrees Celsius and above at many places including Madhubani 39.9 degrees Celsius, Jamui 39.7 degrees Celsius, Jiradei (Siwan) and Valmiki Nagar 39.4 degrees Celsius, Patna 39.3 degrees Celsius and Bhagalpur 39.3 degrees Celsius. Bengal will be in dire straits due to heat and humidity

While issuing a yellow alert for Kerala, the Meteorological Department said that the mercury is expected to rise to 37 degrees Celsius between 15-17, which is 2-4 degrees Celsius more than normal. During this period, the maximum temperature in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur and Palakkad, Kozhikode and Kannur can reach 38 degrees Celsius. Due to the heat in Uttar Pradesh, the mercury has crossed 40 in many districts including Prayagraj and Agra.
