Fraud detection solution will detect any kind of fraud and malicious website on all OTT apps and other platforms like emails, browser, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram and SMS and block it at the real time. To protect users from fraud and scams, Airtel will provide this facility to all its mobile and broadband users without any extra charge.
Airtel will automatically roll out the fraud detection solution to all its users. When a user visits a website that has been flagged as ‘malicious’ by Airtel’s security system, the page of that website will not load. Users will be redirected to a new page. On this page, users will be told the reason for blocking the page.

Due to the rapid expansion of digital platforms across the country, the risk of online fraud is increasing every day, posing a serious risk to consumers. In recent times, such threats have seen a tremendous increase. Fraud schemes are no longer limited to OTP or fake calls, but recent reports suggest that millions of people are now falling prey to malicious online scams.
