Amazon Prime Video’s subscription plans may get expensive from next month. According to the report, users may now have to spend more money to watch ad-free webseries and shows on Prime Video.

Watching webseries, movies and shows on Amazon Prime Video may become expensive in the coming days. The company can make its monthly and yearly subscription plans expensive. The company will start showing ads on Prime Video from June 17 next month. If the user wants to take an ad-free plan, then he will have to loosen his pockets for this. Amazon Prime Video currently offers three types of plans in India, in which users get the facility of one day delivery on Prime Video, Prime Music and e-commerce platforms.
According to the report, from next month, one will have to take an ad-free add-on plan on Amazon Prime Video. For this, users will be charged Rs 699 annually and Rs 129 monthly in addition to the existing plan. Users who do not take this plan will be shown ads while watching movies or webseries in the already running regular plan. However, other benefits of Prime service such as fast delivery, Prime Music or Prime Reading will continue to be available to the users as before.
Prime Membership Plan
- Three types of plans are offered for Prime users in India, which include Prime Shopping Edition, Prime Lite and Standard Prime Service.
- For Prime Shopping Edition, users have to spend Rs 399 for the whole year. In this, users are not offered other services including Prime Video.
- In Prime Lite, users have to spend Rs 799 for a year. In this, users are offered all the benefits of Prime Service. In this, users are offered video service in 720p quality.
- In Standard Prime, users are charged Rs 1499 for a year. In this, users get video access in HD quality along with all other benefits.
Plans will be expensive
On taking Rs 699 yearly and Rs 129 monthly add-free add-on service, users will have to spend Rs 699 more annually for Standard Prime Service, i.e. a total of Rs 2198. At the same time, Prime Lite users will have to spend Rs 1498 annually for this. Talking about the monthly plan, users are currently charged Rs 299 per month for the standard plan. After the add-on, users will have to spend Rs 428 every month for this.

Amazon has also recently reduced the device limit on Prime Video. Earlier, users could log in to 10 devices simultaneously in one subscription plan. Now users can access it on only two devices simultaneously.
