What will be special about Jio IPSTB?
The new Jio IPSTB set-top box will be seen in a compact design with the Jio logo on the top. A cooler fan will be provided in this box to avoid getting hit and various ports are provided at the back. According to the company, this box with 2GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage will support 4K HDR streaming. The supplied remote has dedicated buttons for four OTT apps including Netflix and Disney plus Hotstar. In addition, the remote also offers voice command support, meaning users can control the set-top box by speaking.
A feast of over 550 channels
The set-top box will run on JioOS 2.0 based on AndroidTV OS and will support several popular OTT apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar, Zee5, Discovery Plus, Sun NXT, Sony Liv and JioCinema. Users can also download other OTT apps and games from Jio Store. Additionally, users can also watch more than 550 live TV channels through the IPTV service, which is expected to launch soon.
Connectivity options on the set top box include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, two USB ports and a power port.
How to get a new set-top-box
New Jio IPSTB is available for new Jio AirFiber customers. Users can visit their nearest Jio store or give a missed call to 60008-60008 to inquire about the service and book a new connection. In the box, users will get an HDMI cable, an Ethernet cable, a voice-activated remote, and a power adapter.
